Haeyoun Park

Haeyoun Park is a visual editor on the Politics Desk of The New York Times, leading the desk’s visual coverage of the 2020 presidential campaign. During the 2018 midterm elections, she edited an award-winning series of stories about the historic number of women and minorities running for office. In 2017, she covered Republican efforts to dismantle Obamacare as a beat reporter on the Graphics Desk. Before that, she covered national issues for more than 10 years and traveled across the country to do reporting, including for a piece about violence in Chicago, which was nominated for an Emmy and won a gold medal in the 2016 SND Best of Digital Design Competition. Before joining The Times in 2006, she was the Graphics Director at the Chicago Tribune.
